New Delhi: The Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan was the official heartthrob in the early 2010s. However, the tensions between India and Pakistan made it difficult for the actor to get gigs in India. After the 2016 Uri attack, the authorities banned Pakistani artists from working in India until the situation normalised.
Fawad was last seen alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachcan in the 2016 movie Oh my heart it's difficult. But, Indian fans can now take a deep breath as Fawad Khan is set to return to Bollywood alongside actress Rishi Dogra. Here is what we know so far.
Fawad Khan’s Bollywood comeback
According to a report by the Hindustan TimesFawad Khan and Ridhi Dogra will be seen in a romantic comedy movie. You read that right! Fans will finally be able to see Fawad on the silver screens. The report states that, as of now, only the paperwork and the main leads for the movie have been completed. Details such as supporting characters, director and the name of the movie are still being hidden under wraps. In addition to this, the shooting of the movie is also yet to begin as both Ridhi and Fawad are currently working on other professional commitments.
It is said that the movie will begin with its principal photography by the end of 2025 with the release scheduled for early 2026. The entire shooting for the movie will reportedly be done outside India. The report states that all the shooting schedules are abroad with picturesque locations such as – London and New York.
On the work front, Ridhi Dogra is set to star in The Sabarmati Report alongside Vikrant Massay. Meanwhile, Fawad Khan will be seen in Pakistan’s first Netflix original web series Those who are saved, join me in this with Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed and Ahad Raza Mir.
