Fear of ‘fighter’ squirrel in Udaipur University, pounced on and bit 18 people

These days a small squirrel has troubled everyone in the Arts College of Mohanlal Sukhadia University in Udaipur, Rajasthan. In the last one month, this squirrel has bitten more than 18 people. There is so much fear of this in the psychology and women’s studies department of the university that the students and the people working there are now afraid of even going to the department.

 

This squirrel attacks very cleverly. It often hides behind the curtains of windows or doors and as soon as someone passes by, it suddenly jumps on them and bites. On April 22, it attacked two students in a similar manner. Due to this fear, students have now started running away even after seeing other squirrels in the campus.

Anger increased due to hunger

Experts believe that such behavior of squirrel is not normal. There could be some reasons behind this like too much heat has a bad effect on the brain of small animals and they become irritated and start biting. Apart from this, animals also become violent due to not getting food for a long time. Experts are now trying to understand why this squirrel is doing this?

Due to the fear of this squirrel, the atmosphere of the college has completely changed. Students are now coming less to college due to fear, which is causing harm to their studies. At the same time, the employees working in the office are also scared and are not able to do their work properly. Now people are walking very carefully throughout the campus and remain alert all the time.

The college administration is trying its best to catch it. College official Naveen Nandwana said that a team had tried to catch it but the squirrel is very agile and could not be caught. Now experts are being called again so that it can be caught safely and released into the forest. People who have been bitten by squirrels have been given tetanus injections to prevent any infection.
