Death will spread in the air! The condition of this city will be worse than Bhopal, the wall of the nuclear plant is about to break.

Chernobyl Nuclear Plant: The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine is getting worse. A report released by the United Nations Atomic Energy Agency said that during the ongoing conflict in this area, drone attacks have weakened the security wall built around the Chernobyl nuclear plant.

This protective wall was built to prevent radioactive material after a nuclear accident. The UN agency said that the construction of this protective shield was completed in 2019. After the Russian attack in 2022, questions are being raised about its security.

There were violent attacks in February.

In February this year, when the war escalated and both sides launched vigorous attacks, several drones were also dropped on the plant. An investigation conducted last week revealed that this weakened its security system. Investigation revealed that there was extensive damage to the retaining wall. If there is radioactive radiation here then its Indian city will be worse than Bhopal. Where thousands of lives were lost due to ammonia gas leak in 1984.

Did Rafael Grossi say anything?

In a statement issued on the matter, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said that the inspection team has confirmed that the drone attack has affected the facility’s core security capabilities, especially the ability to contain radioactive material. However, the structure remains strong, and there is no permanent damage to its monitoring systems.

Large scale restoration required

Grossi said some repairs are currently underway, but they won’t accomplish much. Large-scale restoration is necessary to prevent the security wall from deteriorating and to ensure long-term nuclear security. It is worth noting that the ongoing dispute between the two countries had reached its most serious stage in February.

There were heavy attacks from both sides. On February 14, Ukrainian officials reported that a Russian drone armed with a high-speed warhead hit the plant, causing a fire and damaging the structure. Ukraine blamed Russia for the attack, while Moscow denied any involvement.
