Naga Sadhus dedicate their lives to the practice of meditation, yoga, tantra-mantra and religious rituals.

Writer Akshat Gupta shared his experiences related to Naga Sadhus and Aghoris in a podcast show. He told that he was traveling in Spiti Valley. During which he encountered two Aghoris. Akshat told that on the way I saw two Aghoris and asked them, 'Do you want something?' So he said, 'Feed me meat…feed me meat.' When I saw, he cut the part near his thumb very badly.

Akshat further told that I told him that there is nothing nearby, where should I feed meat. I extended my hand towards him because I knew that Aghori test you. They will never eat your flesh. After this, Akshat gave him a note of Rs 500 and asked him to ask for something that could be done. Aghori returned the note and said, "You can't do anything. Go your way."

Akshat further said that Aghori pulled 8-10 hairs from his head and gave them to me and said, 'Go, nothing will happen to you. Whatever you have is enough for you.
