The United States’ increasing military confrontation with Iran and Israel in the Middle East has brought the entire region into a war-like situation. The ongoing attacks and counterattacks from both sides have made the situation extremely serious. Meanwhile, India has expressed deep concern over the situation and appealed to all parties to exercise restraint and find a solution through dialogue.
India expressed concern, appealed for restraint
India’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that recent developments in Iran and the Gulf region are worrying. The ministry has appealed to all parties to avoid escalating tension and give priority to the safety of civilians.
India also said that resolution of any dispute is possible only through dialogue and diplomacy. Also, emphasis was laid on respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the safety of Indian citizens present in the area is being constantly monitored. Contact has been maintained through Indian Embassies and Missions and citizens have been advised to remain vigilant, follow local safety instructions and contact missions in case of emergency.
Situation worsened due to continuous attacks
The situation in the Middle East worsened when Israel and the US attacked targets linked to Iran. In response, Iran targeted Israel as well as American military bases in the region through missile and drone attacks.
Experts believe that if this conflict prolongs, it may affect global oil supply, international trade and regional stability. The increasing tensions in the Gulf region may also have a direct impact on countries like India, which depend on the region for energy supplies.
Netanyahu’s strong statement
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended the attacks on Iran, saying that these actions would give the people of Iran an opportunity to decide their future.
Accusing the Iranian leadership, he said that the government there has been hostile towards Israel and America for a long time. Netanyahu also claimed that Iran was developing nuclear weapons and long-range missiles aimed at harming Israel.
