FIFA 2026 World Cup prize money : FIFA has announced record-breaking prize money for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be held next summer. FIFA has approved increasing the prize money of the World Cup-2026 by 50% from the last time, after which the winning team will get $50 million (₹451 crore) and the runner-up will get $33 million (₹298 crore). According to reports, FIFA will distribute $727 million (about ₹6,570 crore) to the teams in the tournament. The teams eliminated from the group stage will get $9 million (281-crore).

Of this historic sum, $655 million will be distributed as performance-based prize money to the 48 teams participating in the biggest World Cup ever to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Each qualifying country will also receive $15 million upfront to help cover preparation expenses, ensuring a minimum payout of at least $105 million to each team regardless of results.
The winning team will receive $50 million, while the runner-up will receive $33 million and the third-place team will receive $29 million.
