Pfeiffer Tennis-Style Bracket System
FIFA has now implemented a tennis-style knockout bracket system. Under this, the top four teams in the world—Spain, Argentina, France and England—are placed in different divisions. This means, if these teams finish first in their group, they will not play against each other before the semi-finals.
- Group phase: 11 to 27 June 2026
- 32 team episodes: 28 June to 3 July 2026
- Pre-quarter final: 4 to 7 July 2026
- Quarter finals: 9 to 11 July 2026
- Semifinals: 14 and 15 July 2026
- Match for 3rd place: ১১১ জুলি 20ধ২৬
- Final match: 19 July 2026
According to FIFA, the purpose of this system is to ensure that the top teams receive benefits based on their performance and to maintain competitive balance in the tournament. This will help save big matches until the final stages.
