New Delhi: Virat Kohli has attracted everyone’s attention with his unique batting in the ongoing ODI series between India and South Africa. Kohli has won the hearts of his fans by scoring centuries in Ranchi and Raipur.
Now, Visakhapatnam’s Dr. Y.S. All tickets for the match to be held on December 6 at Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium have been sold out. It is surprising to see that initially the ticket sales were slow, but Kohli’s brilliant performance changed the situation.
First laziness then the magic of Virat Kohli
According to Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) officials, when the online ticket sales started on November 28, the number of takers was very less. The situation was such that the association was considering opening an offline counter. But, as soon as Kohli played a stormy inning of 135 runs in Ranchi on 30 November, everything changed.
Tickets for the second and third phase were sold out within a few minutes. The stadium which earlier seemed incomplete, now has fans competing for every seat there. An official said, “The excitement created after Kohli’s century is unique. Not a single piece of tickets is left.”
Kohli’s old relationship with Visakhapatnam
Virat Kohli has always liked the ground of Visakhapatnam. He has scored 587 runs in 7 ODI matches here so far, with an average of around 98. He has three centuries and two half-centuries in his name. Fans know that if Kohli is in Visakhapatnam, a big score is sure to be made, and that is why the people of the city are rapidly moving towards the stadium.
Kohli becoming the king of ODI again
After leaving the Test and T20 captaincy in the last few years, many people thought that perhaps Kohli would not be able to play his old role. But this series has proved everyone wrong.
The innings of 135 in Ranchi and 102 in Raipur were such that it seems that Kohli is going to achieve a new height in ODIs. Fans are now hoping that Kohli will score a hat-trick of centuries by scoring a century in Visakhapatnam also.
