This 2 minute 54 second trailer starts from the era of 1990, when India was facing economic crisis. India had reached the verge of bankruptcy at that time. Manoj Bajpayee’s character in the film is former RBI Governor S. Inspired by Venkataramanan (Former RBI Governor S. Venkitaramanan).

The trailer clearly depicts the deteriorating economic condition of the country, the anger spread among the general public and the chaos created on the streets. The film revolves around the tough and historic steps that were taken to manage the country’s system during this serious crisis and to save India from economic collapse.

The story of ‘Governor’ directed by Chinmay Mandlekar has been written jointly by Suvendu Bhattacharya, Saurabh Bharat, Ravi Asrani and Vipul Amritlal Shah himself. Javed Akhtar has written the lyrics in the film, while the music has been given by Amit Trivedi. ‘Governor: The Silent Savior’ is set to release in theaters on June 12.
