Film industry furious over removal of Sonam Wangchuk from Jantar Mantar, Vishal Dadlani-Prakash Raj raised questions

Protests have been going on by Cockroach Janata Party at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for the last several days. Environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk was on hunger strike to support this protest. Sonam was on hunger strike for almost 20 days. But this morning the Delhi Police forcibly picked him up from Jantar Mantar and admitted him to the hospital. After this, people seem to be very angry on social media regarding this strict attitude of the government and are giving their reaction.

Meanwhile, actor Prakash Raj, who has proved his mettle in acting from South cinema to Bollywood films, has also given his reaction. He wrote, this world is seeing a government which is not ready to listen to the youth. But they know how to behave like dictators. Taking away Sonam Wangchuk forcibly and protesting peacefully is a sign of cowardice and disrupting the students’ work. This is shameful.

What did Vishal Dadlani say by sharing the video?

Meanwhile, Bollywood’s famous singer and musician Vishal Dadlani has also given his reaction by sharing a video. He said in the video, ‘Have you ever seen such cowardice? Sonam Wangchuk ji has been taken away forcefully. What these people of this country are doing. This is completely breaking my heart. He said, ‘When will my countrymen wake up? If you don’t wake up now, then when? Vishal further said, I don’t know what to say on this. I wish I was at that place (Jantar Mantar), I might have been able to help him in some way. At this moment the dead body is bursting.

When did Sonam Wangchuk start the hunger strike?

If we mention Sonam Wangchuk, he was on hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in Delhi from 28 June 2026. They came to Delhi from Ladakh to support the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and were demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. But today he has been removed from Jantar Mantar by the police force and he has been admitted to Safdarganj Hospital in Delhi, where he is under the observation of doctors.
