Now a film will be made on ‘Operation Sindoor’, Bhushan Kumar and Vivek Agnihotri will come together…

Read Entertainment Desk. Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s ‘I Am Buddha Productions’ have announced their collaboration for a new film ‘Operation Sindoor’. The film is based on the book ‘Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan’ by Lieutenant General KJS ‘Tiny’ Dhillon (retd), and will be directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri.

The film is inspired by India’s targeted military strikes on terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. These operations marked a significant moment in India’s strategic history, demonstrating precision and determination in response to the 2025 Pahalgam massacre. Many innocent civilians, mostly tourists, were killed in this massacre.

Producer Bhushan Kumar described this project as a story that needs to be told with honesty and responsibility. He said, “Some stories are not chosen, they choose you. ‘Operation Sindoor’ is one such story, a story that needs to be told with honesty, courage and responsibility. It is not just a film. It is an exposé. When a nation goes through such huge events, it becomes important to document them truthfully.”

Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri stressed the authenticity and strategic clarity of the film. He said, “With ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has not only avenged the Pahalgam terror attack and punished Pakistan, but also demonstrated its prowess in modern warfare. We have conducted massive, ground-level research in collaboration with multiple branches of the Indian Armed Forces, to understand not only what happened, but how and why it happened. What emerges is far more complex, far more accurate and far more disturbing than the information available in the public domain.” It is the truth to do.”

Agnihotri further said that the film aims to present a story of courage and professionalism, avoiding sensationalist elements, while providing an immersive cinematic experience. He said, “My intention is not to create noise, but to face it, with facts, with clarity and with the magic of cinema.”

Although further details regarding the cast and release timeline are yet to be revealed, ‘Operation Sindoor’ marks the first collaboration on this scale and subject matter between Bhushan Kumar and Vivek Agnihotri. The film is expected to combine real-life events with a cinematic narrative, thus taking forward the trend of stories with political and historical roots in mainstream Hindi cinema.
