Filmmaker Prakash Jha narrated the story of the film Rajneeti-2 to Nana Patekar, said- very few people have seen Nana’s energy.

Mumbai Famous filmmaker Prakash Jha has told what is a big challenge among the actors nowadays. He said that many actors do not listen properly during performance, which affects the authenticity of their acting. Jha said that the authenticity of a performance really depends on the ability to see and understand, rather than just speaking the lines, and my complaint with many actors today is that they do not listen. He further said that unless you really listen, nothing you say will ever seem believable.

National Award winning filmmaker Prakash Jha said this while praising old actor Nana Patekar. He has worked with Nana Patekar in many superhit films like Abhaan and Raajneeti. The director recently spoke about a conversation related to the eagerly awaited film Raajneeti 2, where Patekar’s tremendous focus was on full display. Jha said that very few people have seen the energy in Nana that it takes to understand something. He said that just a few days ago we were talking about a scene from the film Raajneeti-2. While I was telling him, Nana suddenly became very focused. His mind, his eyes and his entire attention focused on me. That energy is so strong that I cannot remain unaffected by it. Giving credit for his philosophy to late Vijaya Mehta, Nana Patekar said that listening to an actor’s own dialogue is more important than the work itself. Patekar further said that listening means putting your entire life into your ears and truly listening to the other person. During the conversation, Patekar’s reputation in the film industry was also discussed. Actor Sanjay Kapoor, who stars with her in Sankalp and has previously worked with her in the films Shakti and It’s My Life. Kapoor said that whatever people hear about him is just a myth. He further said that Nana Patekar speaks honestly. Sometimes people don’t like it. He is very honest, he says whatever is in his heart. Some people cannot tolerate it.
