‘Find the missing child considering it as your own’, Bihar DGP’s strict message to the police

Sanjay Singh, Patna: Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar has given a strong message to the state police department to perform their duties with human sensitivity. Speaking at a state-level workshop on organized crimes like human trafficking and child labour, the DGP clarified that the role of police in cases of missing children should not be limited to mere paperwork. He told the officials, ‘Whenever a child is missing, consider him as your own child and search for him, because in such cases the initial time is the most precious.’

In this workshop organized at Sardar Patel Bhawan, DGP advised the policemen to be sensitive. He said that cases of missing persons become more complex as time passes, increasing the risk of children falling into human trafficking or exploitation. After this instruction of the DGP, preparations have now started in all the police stations of the state to deal with the cases related to children on priority basis.
