Finn Allen created history by scoring a century in the T20 World Cup semi-final match, became the first player in the world to score a century in the T20 World Cup semi-final match.

Finn Allen Century in T20 World Cup Semi-Final: New Zealand has qualified for the T20 World Cup 2026 by defeating South Africa by 9 wickets in the semi-final match. The hero of this one-sided victory of New Zealand was the team’s opener Finn Allen, who scored a century. Finn Allen has created history by scoring a century in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. He made many records in his name.

In this semi-final match played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, South Africa, after losing the toss and batting first, scored 169 runs for 8 wickets. In reply, New Zealand team achieved the target by losing only one wicket in 12.5 overs. New Zealand’s both openers Tim Seifert and Finn Allen turned the match towards New Zealand in just 10 overs and gave the team a one-sided victory.

Finn Allen becomes the player to score the fastest century in T20 World Cup history

Finn Allen completed his century in just 33 balls in this semi-final match. With this, Finn Allen has become the player to score the fastest century in T20 World Cup history. Earlier, the record of scoring the fastest century in T20 World Cup history was held by former West Indies batsman Chris Gayle. Gayle scored a century in 47 balls against England in the T20 World Cup 2016. Chris Gayle is also at number three. He had completed a century in 50 balls against South Africa in the first phase of T20 World Cup i.e. in 2007 itself.

England captain Harry Brook also included in the list

England captain Harry Brook is also included in this list and is at number four. Brook had completed his century in 50 balls against Pakistan in the same T20 World Cup 2026. While Brendon McCullum of New Zealand is at number five. He completed his century in 51 balls against Bangladesh in T20 World Cup 2012.

Finn Allen becomes the first player to score a century in a T20 World Cup knockout match

Finn Allen has now become the first player to score a century in T20 World Cup knockout matches. Before this, no player had been successful in scoring a century in the knockout matches of T20 World history. Earlier, the record of playing the biggest innings in a T20 World Cup knockout match was held in the name of Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan, who scored an unbeaten 96 runs. Whereas Virat Kohli has now reached third place. Kohli played an unbeaten inning of 89 runs in the T20 World Cup knockout match. Alex Hills of England is at number four. He played an unbeaten inning of 86 runs. Whereas now at number five is Marlon Samuels, who had scored unbeaten 85 runs.
