Appeal to Eknath Shinde for help in case of incident on the set of the show

Founder and President of All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) Suresh Gupta has appealed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for help in the matter of the tragic incident that took place on the sets of the show Anupama. He wrote a letter to the Chief Minister, a copy of which has been posted on X (formerly Twitter). In this letter, Suresh Gupta claimed that the accident occurred on November 14 at 9:30 pm due to poorly maintained equipment on the set, which led to electric shock. He also told that even after this incident, the shooting continued till midnight and the shooting started at normal time the next day. Gupta has appealed to the Chief Minister to investigate the matter and take concrete steps to avoid such accidents.

Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) President BN Tiwari said that they are investigating the matter regarding the tragic incident that took place on the sets of the show Anupama. Tiwari also told that the makers of the show are not ready to reveal the identity of the deceased Lightman.
FWICE is collecting complete information about this incident and taking necessary steps to provide justice to the family of the deceased. Additionally, the association has raised questions about the show's producers, especially regarding set safety and working conditions, so that such incidents can be avoided in the future.

Anupama's shooting will be suspended?

Suresh Gupta, while speaking to Zoom TV, claimed that the production house is trying to suppress this tragic incident and misinformation is being spread. He also said that some production houses and channels just try to save a little money by ignoring safety standards, due to which such accidents occur. AICWA claims that the incident was not a simple accident but an “institutional murder” due to the negligence of the makers. Gupta has also demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the family of the deceased. Along with this, he also said that the shooting on the sets of Anupama and other associate productions should be suspended until the entire investigation is completed, so that such accidents can be prevented and the investigation can be conducted impartially.
