Fire in scrap warehouse in Pitampura, Delhi, 2 people from Bihar burnt alive, 3 injured
A massive fire suddenly broke out in a scrap warehouse last night in Pitampura village of Rani Bagh area of the capital Delhi. This accident was so terrible that two people present inside the warehouse died painfully by burning alive on the spot, while three other people suffered serious burns. The flames were so strong that there was chaos in the surrounding area. Relief and rescue operations were started as soon as the information was received, but by then a lot of damage had already been done.
Fire personnel took out the injured after hard work, doctors declared two dead in the hospital
As soon as information about the fire was received, fire brigade vehicles immediately reached the spot. The fire brigade personnel risked their lives to rescue the people trapped in the flames and immediately took them to the hospital. After being taken to the hospital, the doctors declared two persons named Vishal and Satish dead after examination. At the same time, the treatment of three other people who got burnt due to the fire is still going on, where their condition is being monitored.
The spark from the short circuit and the massive explosion in the LPG cylinder made the fire even worse.
In the preliminary investigation conducted by the police, short circuit is considered to be the main cause of the fire. According to the police, an LPG cylinder was kept in the room when the accident occurred. When the fire caused by short circuit spread, the cylinder also got affected and there was a massive explosion. Due to this explosion, the fire took a huge form and the workers did not get a chance to escape. The fire brigade controlled the fire after a lot of effort, but by then the goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the warehouse were completely burnt to ashes.
All the laborers came to Delhi from Nalanda in Bihar in search of livelihood, a mountain of sorrow fell on the families.
All the five victims of this tragic accident are said to be residents of Nalanda district of Bihar, who were earning their living by doing hard labor here. Giving information about the incident, it was told that apart from his wife, deceased Vishal has a son and a daughter in his family, while the other deceased Satish has a wife and two sons in his family. Due to such sudden death of the earning members of the family, their families are in great grief and are in a bad state of tears.
Police took the dead bodies in their custody and sent them for postmortem, after completing the legal process the bodies will be handed over to the relatives.
After the incident, the local police took the bodies of both the deceased into their custody and sent them for post-mortem. The police have informed the relatives of the deceased and the process of handing over the bodies to them after post-mortem is underway. Police are investigating the matter from every aspect so that the exact cause of the fire can be confirmed. As a precautionary measure, the administration is also said to be checking the safety standards in the surrounding areas.
