New Delhi, March 5. Around 50 huts were gutted in a massive fire that broke out in a slum in Delhi’s Rithala metro station area early Thursday morning. An officer gave this information. The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) launched a rescue operation and around 16 fire tenders were deployed to control the rapidly spreading fire in the slums, the official said. No casualties have been reported so far in the incident. However, according to sources, a girl has been reported missing since the fire. Search efforts are ongoing. The exact cause of the fire is not yet known.
According to DFS, it received information about the fire at around 4.15 am. A fire official said, “As soon as information about the fire was received, teams reached the spot and started the operation to extinguish the fire. The fire engulfed many slums.” Preliminary information suggests that there were more than 50 slums in the area, many of which were destroyed in the fire. Fire fighters and local policemen launched a rescue operation and the fire was brought under control by 6.30 am.

It is a matter of relief that no casualties have been reported so far in this accident. However, due to the fire, the belongings of many families were completely burnt to ashes. Due to which there has been a loss of lakhs of rupees. According to preliminary information, about 50 slums have been burnt to ashes in the fire that broke out near Rithala Metro Station. Preparations are also being made by the administration to provide help to the affected people.
