Sprout Chaat

  • Mixed sprouted pulses (sprouted moong dal, moth and gram): 1 cup
  • Grated carrots: ½ cup
  • Cut cottage cheese into small pieces: 2 cups
  • Finely chopped onions: 2 medium/small sized onions
  • Green chilli: as required
  • Finely chopped tomatoes: 1 medium/small sized tomato
  • Finely chopped coriander/mint: 2-3 chopped leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • lemon juice as per taste

Method of preparation

To prepare this, take out the mixed sprouts in a bowl. Now add onion, green chillies, chopped carrots, tomato and cheese pieces. Sprinkle salt and pepper into the mixture. Add two-three tablespoons of lemon juice and mix slowly, holding two spoons in both hands. Spicy sprouted chaat with your vegetables is ready.

Coleslaw Sandwich

  • Triangular bread slices – 8 slices
  • Mayonnaise (optional) – 6 tbsp
  • Paneer slices- 4
  • Grated carrots – ½ cup
  • Shredded Cabbage – ½ cup
  • Finely chopped lettuce – ½ cup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tomato ketchup or any other sauce like barbeque sauce, peri-peri etc.

Method of preparation

To prepare the sandwich, take a small bowl and put all the vegetables in it. Mix 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, salt and black pepper in it. Mix all the ingredients with a spoon. Now apply mayonnaise or tomato sauce on the bread slices. Place a slice of cheese on each slice of bread, then spread a spoonful of coleslaw over the bread. Now, place the mayonnaise applied bread slices face down. Children will like this sandwich very much.

Method of preparation

To make ice cream, beat the cream in a bowl with a whisk. Mix curd and honey slowly in a bowl. Add your kids’ favorite fruits to the bowl. Start pouring the mixture into the popsicle molds. Insert a chopstick or ice cream stick into the center of the yogurt and fruit mixture and gently tap the ice cream stick on the counter to remove any air bubbles, if any. Now keep it in the freezer for 4-5 hours. Now enjoy your frozen treat.
