Firing in Atlanta due to family dispute, four including Indian citizen killed; Shooter arrested, know the whole matter

New York. Four people, including an Indian citizen, were killed in a firing that took place during an alleged family dispute in Atlanta city in the US state of Georgia. The Indian Mission has expressed deep grief over this incident and has assured all possible assistance to the families of the deceased.

According to local media, the incident occurred on Friday morning. Three children were present in the house at the time of the incident, who saved their lives by hiding in the cupboard to stay safe. The Indian Consulate General in Atlanta said the alleged shooter has been arrested.

Identification of the dead-
According to local media and Gwinnett County Police, the deceased include Vijay Kumar, 51, an Indian citizen, his wife Meemu Dogra, 43, Gaurav Kumar, 33, Nidhi Chander, 37, and Harish Chander, 38. The suspect faces serious charges of murder of four people, child abuse and intentional homicide.

Police information-
Police said they received a call at 2:30 a.m. Friday from the 1000 block of Brook Ivy Court. Upon reaching the scene, bodies of four adults were found with bullet wounds. Police said that three children present in the house survived by hiding in the cupboard for their safety.
