As the voting date in Jharkhand approaches, BJP has made a major change in its strategy. After Champai Soren, now Arjun Munda and Babu Lal Marandi have also disappeared from BJP posters. Many discussions are going on simultaneously in Jharkhand regarding the disappearance of Marandi and Munda from the posters.
Babu Lal Marandi is the state president of Jharkhand BJP and till now he was being described as the CM face, but in the poster released by BJP regarding the manifesto, neither Marandi nor former CM Arjun Munda is there.

Look of BJP poster changed
The look of the poster released by BJP has changed. In the poster, only Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been given space with the lotus flower symbol. In this poster made to appeal for votes, it has been said to take care of daughter, bread and soil.
The poster mentions the schemes that BJP will implement when the government comes to power. The theme of this poster is BJP’s pledge. BJP has also released its manifesto with the same name in Jharkhand.
Earlier on September 19, BJP had released a poster. The theme of this poster was change. In this poster, along with Narendra Modi, JP Nadda, Babu Lal Marandi, Arjun Munda and Amar Kumar Bauri were given place.
Amar Kumar Bauri is currently the Leader of Opposition in the Jharkhand Assembly.
Why did Marandi disappear from the poster?
The disappearance of Babu Lal Marandi from the new poster of BJP is the most talked about topic. Babu Lal Marandi is not only the state president but also a contender for the post of CM. Marandi himself appears in every poster. In such a situation, why did Marandi move away from this poster?
1. Sources associated with BJP say that Babu Lal Marandi is currently the state president and is a contender for the chief ministership. If the party had included Marandi’s picture on the poster along with the Prime Minister’s, the message would have been clear that Marandi is the face of the CM. BJP is working on the strategy of entering the fray in Jharkhand without any CM face.
The party fears that if it goes to the polls on one face, it may backfire. BJP is trying to win in Jharkhand with the strategy of Chhattisgarh and Odisha, hence Marandi has disappeared from the poster.
2. Bharatiya Janata Party has prepared the basic ground in Jharkhand. The party has largely stopped all post-nomination rebellions. The party is now trying to fight on the central face instead of the local face, hence BJP has put forward the face of Modi. That is why big BJP leaders are not directly attacking Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
BJP is fighting elections in the name of issues and change. The party has made infiltration and corruption a big issue for Jharkhand.
3. Babu Lal Marandi had the entire command of BJP in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, but despite this, Marandi could not do wonders in the tribal areas. India Alliance won 5 tribal dominated seats of Jharkhand.
After this, BJP is working on another strategy to woo the tribal voters in Jharkhand. About 26 percent tribal voters live in Jharkhand.
4. A section of the BJP says that the party wants to control the damage to its image in the Lok Sabha after achieving a big victory in the Jharkhand assembly elections, hence the face of Prime Minister Modi has been put forward.

BJP has put forward the face of Modi in Jharkhand. That means now there is no CM face in the state. Till now the states where BJP has won on the face of Modi. CM contenders have not got the chair in those states.
