Chandini Chowdary, who has played prominent parts in films like Gaami and Music Shop Murthy earlier this year, will soon be seen headlining the musical entertainer Santhana Prapthirasthu. The makers unveiled the first look of their film on Wednesday, which also marks Chandini’s birthday.
The first look poster features Chandini as Kalyani, an educated bride-to-be seeking a suitable life partner that matches a certain set of criteria, which include having a government job and being a vegetarian. Additionally, Kalyani also apparently has an aversion to software professionals. Reportedly, the film also tackles the theme of childlessness.
Vikranth plays the male lead in Santhana Prapthirasthu. The film is produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Nirvi Hariprasad Reddy under the banners of Mathura Entertainment and Nirvi Arts, while Sanjeev Reddy helms the direction. Sanjeev, who has earlier made ABCD starring Allu Sirish and the web series Aha Naa Pellanta with Raj Tarun, is also the co-story and screenplay writer for the film, sharing credits with Sheikh Dawood.
The supporting cast of the film includes Vennela Kishore, Abhinav Gomatam, Muralidhar Goud, Sri Lakshmi, Harsha Vardhan, Bindu Chandramouli, Jeevan Kumar, Satya Krishna, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Kireeti. Music direction is by Sunil Kashyap. Mahi Reddy Pandugula and SaiKrishna Ganala are the cinematographer and editor, respectively.
