First raped neighbor, then reached Delhi from Alwar, Rahul Meena; New revelation in IRS officer’s daughter murder case

New Delhi: A sensational incident related to Alwar and Delhi of Rajasthan has raised serious questions on the security system. It is alleged that a 23-year-old domestic help committed heinous crimes at two different places within just 12 hours.

First, the alleged rape of a woman in Alwar came to light, hours after which the accused reached Delhi and allegedly raped and murdered the 22-year-old daughter of his former employer, an IRS officer.

First incident in Alwar

According to the police, accused Rahul Meena entered his neighbor’s house at around 10:30 pm on Tuesday night. He beat the woman and then raped her.

It is alleged that he pressed the victim’s mouth, strangled her and threw her on the ground. After the incident, he threatened the woman that if she told anything to anyone, he would kill her family.

Based on the complaint of the victim, Alwar police registered the case.

Second incident in Delhi next morning

After the Alwar incident, the accused reached Delhi the next morning. At around 6:30 in the morning, he entered a housing society in Amar Colony in south-east Delhi and after a few minutes went towards the flat of his former employer.

He left from there after about an hour. When the victim’s parents returned home at 8 in the morning, they found their daughter in a pool of blood.

According to the police, the accused went straight to the victim’s study room, where she was preparing for UPSC. He forced his way inside, strangulated her and then attacked her.

After this the accused raped her in an unconscious state.

After the incident, the accused tried to drag the victim to the room where the locker was kept. He tried to open the locker, but could not succeed.

After this, he opened the locker with the help of a screwdriver and took out cash and jewellery.

Police investigation has revealed that the accused changed his blood stained clothes after the incident and ran away wearing the clothes present in the house.

Delhi Police formed 15 teams to search for the accused. CCTV footage proved important in the investigation, which revealed the activities of the accused.

Based on the footage, an auto-rickshaw driver was identified who had dropped the accused to a hotel. After this the police arrested the accused.

According to the police, the accused got a job in the house of an IRS officer on the recommendation of an officer, where he worked for about a year.

Later, when his gambling habit came to light, he was fired from his job.

Activities seen in CCTV

According to investigators, in the CCTV footage, the accused was seen entering the society in one dress at 6:28 am and coming out in different clothes about an hour later.

This further strengthened the suspicion that he had changed his clothes after the incident.

Investigation ongoing, waiting for medical report

Police have registered a case under rape, murder and robbery in this matter. However, the medical report is awaited to confirm sexual assault.
