After the IPL final match, the Gujarat Titans team was going to the hotel in a bus when there was a short circuit in the bus, due to which the wires of the bus started burning and smoke started coming out. After this the team staff took all the players out of the bus. Later the team staff called another bus. During this time, the players of the team had to stay on the road late at night. The entire team of Gujarat Titans stayed on the road of Ahmedabad on the night of 31 May. After the second bus arrived, all the players reached their hotel safely. The bus by which Gujarat Titans team was leaving for the hotel, suddenly smoke spread inside the bus, which could have caused a major accident. Immediately after the smoke spread, everyone came out of the bus safely. According to PTI report, no player was injured in this incident. However, this incident gave sleepless nights to all the players. The team players were tired after the match and were supposed to rest after reaching the hotel, instead they had to wait on the road because of the bus.

After the defeat in the IPL final, GT director said, ‘I will not refuse to accept that RCB won today. However, our team also tried well to win. I think sometimes the opposing team also plays well.
