Major oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the price of jet fuel by Rs 2,941.5 per kilolitre, effective from November 1. This can have a big impact on airline companies.

This increase in jet fuel prices will have a direct impact on air travel tickets. Airline companies may have to increase the prices of flight tickets to balance their operating costs. This will affect the pockets of air passengers.

Experts believe that in the coming days, passengers may have to face more expensive tickets than the normal rates. In such a situation, passengers will keep the increased cost in mind while planning their travel, rising prices of jet fuel can prove to be challenging not only for the airline companies but also for the air passengers.

The new prices of jet fuel in four major metros are as follows – The price of jet fuel in Delhi is Rs 90,538.72 per kilolitre. The price of jet fuel in Kolkata is Rs 93,392.79 per kilolitre.

The price of jet fuel in Mumbai is Rs 84,642.91 per kilolitre. The price of jet fuel in Chennai is Rs 93,957.10 per kilolitre. Earlier, the price of jet fuel was reduced by Rs 5,883 per kilolitre.

Due to increase in cost of jet fuel, the price of flight tickets may also increase, which will have a direct impact on the pockets of air passengers. After some time, customers may have to face more expensive tickets than the normal rates.
