Prime Minister Modi met the British Prime Minister at the G20 summit held in Brazil today. During this, both the leaders agreed to speed up the work related to migration. According to media reports, Central Bureau of Investigation Director Praveen Sood had recently demanded the extradition of these two fugitive businessmen along with British Security Minister Dan Jarvis.

In June 2019, Swiss authorities had seized assets totaling $6 million deposited in Nirav Modi's Swiss bank account. Nirav Modi had committed a scam of Rs 28000 crore from Punjab National Bank and had fled abroad. The latter declared himself a willful defaulter.
