Follow these tips for hair care in winter
In winter, due to cold and dry air, hair also becomes dry and lifeless. In this season, the moisture of the hair decreases, due to which they start breaking and falling. To keep hair healthy and shiny, some special care is needed in winter.
Hot oil massage: To maintain hair moisture in winter, massage with hot oil at least twice a week. Coconut oil, olive oil or almond oil are very beneficial for hair. Massaging with oil provides moisture to the hair roots, which makes the hair strong and thick. Apart from this, it also increases blood circulation in the hair roots, thereby reducing hair fall.
Use mild shampoo: Avoid washing hair frequently in winter, as this can reduce the natural moisture of the hair. Use a mild shampoo two to three times a week, which not only cleans the hair but also maintains its moisture. You can choose sulphate-free shampoo, which does not damage the hair and does not make it dry.
Use conditioner regularly: It is very important to use conditioner to maintain hair moisture in winter. Every time after shampoo, apply conditioner to the hair and leave it for a few minutes. Conditioner keeps the hair soft and moist, thereby preventing breakage and fall. You can also use a deep conditioning mask once a week.
Avoid leaving hair wet: Leaving hair wet in winter can cause cold in the roots of the hair, due to which the hair becomes weak and starts breaking. Therefore, after washing your hair, immediately dry them with a towel and let them air dry naturally. Reduce the use of hair dryer, as it reduces the moisture of the hair and can make it dry and lifeless.
Use silk or satin pillowcases: Use silk or satin pillowcases to prevent hair breakage in winter. Sleeping on a cotton pillow causes the hair to rub more, which can cause them to break. Sleeping on a silk or satin pillowcase causes less friction in the hair and keeps it soft and shiny.
Use a hydrating hair mask: To maintain hair moisture, you can use a hydrating hair mask once a week. You can make a mask of egg, honey, and curd at home, which provides nourishment and moisture to the hair. Apart from this, you can also make a hair mask of avocado and coconut oil, which gives strength and shine to the hair.
By adopting these measures, you can keep your hair healthy and strong even in winter. Taking proper care of your hair will not only make your hair look good, but will also protect it from the effects of cold.
