Food poisoning after eating poisonous momos in Hyderabad, one woman died, 15 others fell ill
Hyderabad: A 33-year-old woman died and 15 others got food poisoning after eating momos from the same vendor at different places under Banjara Hills police station limits in Hyderabad, Telangana. After the accident, the people running the food stall have been taken into custody by the police.
Giving information, Telangana Police has said that the police has started investigating the matter and has registered a case of negligence under food poisoning. The police officer said that on Sunday, Reshma Begum and others had gone to eat momos at a food stall named 'Delhi Momos'. After some time of eating momo there, his condition started deteriorating.
Regarding the food stall named 'Delhi Momos', it is being told that this stall located in Chintal Basti was started together by Arman and his five friends who came from Bihar about three months ago. Police say that the persons running the stall have been taken into custody to investigate the matter.
Banjara Hills police station sub-inspector Ram Babu said that last night we received a complaint that Reshma Begum (33) died and 15 others fell ill after eating bad quality momo. Everyone had bought momos from the same vendor at different places and eaten them. People said that they got food poisoning after eating street food. After this, a case has been registered and the people concerned in the matter are being detained and investigation is being done.
