Footballer Yogesh Negi Dies In Thane BMW Crash: A horrific road accident that took place in Eranjad area on the Mumbai-Vadodara National Highway in the early hours of Sunday shocked the entire area. In this tragic accident, famous footballer Yogesh Negi (26) and his friend Rebecca Jacob (24) died on the spot, while their partner and car owner Angad Gill (25) was seriously injured. Injured Angad is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Kalyan, where his condition is said to be critical.

The accident happened when the three friends were going towards Badlapur in a luxury BMW car. According to eyewitnesses, the car was traveling at extremely high speed and suddenly lost control. After this the vehicle collided with the divider and overturned several times, due to which the car was completely damaged.

Car parts scattered on the road

According to the police, the three friends had attended a program to celebrate Yogesh Negi’s birthday. They were returning to Badlapur after the function ended late at night. As soon as the car reached Eranjad area in the early hours, it lost control and collided with the divider. The collision was so strong that the BMW car was blown to pieces. The engine, wheels and other parts of the vehicle were scattered far and wide on the road.

The magnitude of the accident can be gauged from the fact that the car was completely turned into junk. Local people immediately informed the police and emergency services. The team reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital, but Yogesh and Rebecca could not be saved. After the incident, traffic on the highway was also affected for some time.

Police engaged in investigation

After the accident, a video is going viral on social media, in which the speed of the car is being claimed to be 251 kilometers per hour. It is being told that this video is from some time before the accident. However, the police have not yet officially confirmed this video. The investigating agencies are examining all aspects including the actual speed of the vehicle, road conditions, technical glitches and authenticity of the viral video.

Initially, high speed is being considered as the possible cause of the accident. The journey turned into tragedy for three friends who set out to celebrate their birthday. Due to this accident, a wave of mourning has spread in Badlapur, Thane and the sports world and people have paid tribute to the deceased.
