Mumbai: Every foreign company operating in Maharashtra belongs to the state, the state government is taking utmost care from this role. A meeting was held in the presence of Minister Rawal at the Sahyadri guest house on the request of the Consul General of Sweden, Japan and South Korea to ensure smooth supply of LPG to the foreign investment industries currently going on in Pune. Consul General of Sweden and Dean of the Consular Corps Sven Ostberg, Consul General of Japan Koji Yagi and Consul General of South Korea Dongwan Yu, Secretary of Royal Etiquette Department Dr. Rajesh Gawande, Ration Controller Chandrakant Dange on behalf of Food and Civil Supplies Department, Coordinator of Oil Companies in the State Umesh Kulkarni etc. were present in this meeting.

A detailed discussion was held in this meeting regarding the supply of LPG in the state. Etiquette Minister Jayakumar Rawal said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is keeping a close eye on the situation even though disruptions in the global supply chain and price hikes by shipping companies have created difficulties. According to his instructions, all-out efforts are being made to handle the situation in the state under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. As per the guidelines of the Central Government, LPG supply is being distributed in a phased manner and relief is being given to priority areas.

Control rooms and helpline numbers have been set up in every district to control the black market of LPG. Instructing these numbers to be communicated to all citizens and businessmen, Minister Jayakumar Rawal ordered immediate action on complaints received from citizens and industries and strict action against those who create price hike or artificial scarcity.

At present there is no complaint regarding non-supply of LPG to any foreign industries. Therefore, Secretary Dr. Gawande appealed that entrepreneurs should cooperate without worry.

According to the directives of the central government, LPG is being supplied to hospitals, educational and social institutions in the first phase, restaurants and food industries in the second phase, and to labor intensive industries in the third phase. According to this, Mr. Dange informed that after finalizing the list of the remaining industries, the supply will be made smooth in the next one or two days. In the meeting, information was given about the Central Government’s decision to accelerate the expansion of PNG (Pipeped Natural Gas) facility. All necessary permits for city gas distribution projects are being given expeditiously and 24-hour permission has been given for road digging, pipeline laying etc. It was said at this time that most of the works will be completed this month.

At this time, he expressed satisfaction that the central and state governments are working together during the crisis and all efforts are being made to keep the supply chain smooth. Expressing the belief that the current crisis is temporary and the situation will be normal soon, Minister of Etiquette Jayakumar Rawal appealed to the industries and citizens of the state to cooperate.
