For SP 'Expressway' was a concrete form of a big idea, for BJP it was only a means to earn crores of tolls: Akhilesh Yadav
Lucknow. Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the BJP government. For SP, 'Expressway' was a concrete form of a big idea, for BJP it is only a means of earning crores of tolls.

Akhilesh Yadav wrote on social media X, every life is precious, but the loss of the lives of doctors who save lives is even more tragic. Homage! The Uttar Pradesh BJP government should think about why the number of accidents on the expressway has suddenly increased: Does the BJP government not have the capability and capacity to maintain this world-class expressway built during the SP's time or is this being done deliberately. Is highway policing limited to parking the car at a corner and looking at the mobile phone? When you look up from your mobile, you will see who is driving the wrong car.
Is speed monitoring CCTV technology only for earning money by issuing challans or is it also for saving lives by giving warnings? Does the government not have any solution to control the movement of animals, which are becoming the cause of accidents hundreds of times? Under the BJP rule, a hostile step-motherly treatment is being given towards 'Lucknow-Agra Expressway', for which the public is paying the price by losing their lives.
Akhilesh Yadav further said, 'Expressway' was a concrete form of a big thinking for SP. The aim of which was to speed up the transportation along with security and connect the economy, agriculture and business of all the areas in between on the path of progress and development, but for the BJP, it has become only a means of earning crores of tolls. This toll collection work has also been given to a private company, and there is no need to explain to the public why it has been given. If anyone in the government is responsible, he may not answer but will definitely take measures to save the lives of the people.
