Foreign cargo ship stranded in Mumbai sea, panic created, coast guard took charge

Maharashtra, Mumbai. A foreign cargo ship got stuck on July 5 due to low water in the sea off Manori Beach in Borivali West, Mumbai. Due to bad weather and strong winds, three foreign cargo ships washed ashore. One of the three ships, ‘MT Al Jafjiya’, got stuck in the drift just one kilometer away from Manori Island after its anchor chain broke. There was no crew member present on this ship. According to the Indian Coast Guard, when these ships were stranded, the sea weather was very bad and strong winds were blowing.

Which are the other two ships?

On the other hand, MT Asphalt Star and MT Stellar Ruby are both bitumen and oil tankers. Both these ships, despite being at anchor in this heavy storm, were washed away to a distance of about 20 kilometers (11 nautical miles) from Manori Island. At present both of them are at a safe place and their crew members are also completely safe. Apart from this, Coast Guard ships ICGS Samrat, Sagar Prahari and Water Lily have been deployed at the spot for their security.

Local fishermen informed the police

According to the information received, the Manori Beach area of ​​Mumbai is quite rocky. When local fishermen saw such a big ship on the shore, they immediately informed the Gorai police, after which the security forces took over the situation.
