US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore, who was present at the meeting, wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “Welcome Vikram Misri to the White House. Had a productive meeting with Minister Rubio that focused on our bilateral relations, especially on trade, critical minerals, defense and the ‘Quad’.
Gore said Secretary Rubio looks forward to visiting India next month. Earlier, Misri met separately with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Alison Hooker.
