Udaipur, March 9, 2026 (Read): If you have forgotten your ATM card at home and urgently need cash, you can still withdraw money from an ATM using UPI. This facility allows users to withdraw cash without carrying an ATM card, reducing the risk of card theft, loss, or misuse.
With the help of this service, users can easily access cash through UPI-enabled ATMs. The feature removes the need to keep an ATM card with you at all times and provides a completely cardless withdrawal process.
How to Withdraw Cash from an ATM Using UPI
First, locate an ATM that supports UPI services. Banks such as SBI, Bank of Baroda and other banks provide cash withdrawal through Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) UPI-ATM services.
On the ATM screen, select the UPI Cash Withdrawal option.
Enter the amount you want to withdraw. The maximum withdrawal limit per transaction can be up to ₹10,000.
A QR code will appear on the ATM screen.
Open your UPI app, scan the QR code, and select the linked bank account.
Enter your 4- or 6-digit UPI PIN in the app for authentication.
Once the process is completed, the ATM will dispense the cash.
This UPI-based service allows users to withdraw money without carrying a card, making the process fully cardless. It also reduces risks such as card cloning, theft, or loss. The withdrawal limit through UPI is up to ₹10,000 per transaction, though the limit may vary depending on the bank and the user’s daily UPI transaction limit.
In India, this facility is available through UPI apps such as BHIM, Paytm, Google Pay, PhonePe and other UPI-enabled platforms.
