Former Australian cricketer paid heartfelt tribute to singer Asha Bhosle, both of them had sung the song together in 2006.

New Delhi. Former Australian cricketer Brett Lee has paid a heartfelt tribute to music world’s famous personality Asha Bhosle. He recalled the days when he sang a duet with Asha Bhosle called You’re the One. Brett Lee shared many pictures with Asha Bhosle on his Instagram handle and remembered her. He wrote that I had the privilege of writing and recording the song You’re the One for Me with Asha Bhosle in 2006. This is something for which I will always be very grateful to him. What stuck with me the most was not only his tremendous talent, but his kind and humble nature. A man who had achieved so much in his life, how warm and generous she was.

Expressing his support towards Asha Bhosle’s family and friends, former fast bowler Brett Lee said, “My thoughts are with her family and friends in this difficult time.” I consider myself very lucky that I got a chance to spend some moments with such a special person. There is no doubt that his legacy will live on for many generations to come. In the song You’re the One for Me from Asha and Friends album, former Australian cricketer Brett Lee sang in Hindi along with India’s melody queen Asha Bhosle. In this song, he can be heard singing, “Yes, I’m yours, I’ll be yours,” which won the hearts of music and cricket lovers. In his autobiography My Life, Brett Lee has described Asha Bhosle as the Aretha Franklin of Indian music. The music video was shot in 2006, when Brett Lee was in India for the Champions Trophy. During his tour, he was approached by a music label. It was an ambitious Asha Bhosle, who was part of the project that brought together artists from across the world for the album Asha & Friends, died on Sunday at the age of 92.
