Former Bangladesh PM Khaleda Zia passes away, 3 days of political mourning

Dhaka, 30 December 2025: Former Bangladesh PM Khaleda Zia passes away An atmosphere of mourning has been created across the country on the death of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. Keeping in mind his contribution to the politics of Bangladesh, the interim government has declared 3 days of political mourning. Mohammad Yunus had said that Khaleda Ziana’s mortal remains will be laid to rest tomorrow. Along with this, 3 days of political mourning and one day holiday has been announced in the entire country.

Khaleda Zia breathed her last at 6 am in the morning at Ourcase Hospital in Dhaka. He was under hospital treatment for the last 36 days. On November 23, he was admitted to the hospital due to heart and lung infection. Apart from this, he was also suffering from pneumonia. Thus, an era has come to an end in Bangladesh politics on Tuesday. Former Prime Minister and BNP President Khaleda Zia, considered a symbol of struggle, power and courage, has passed away at the age of 80. His political party had said that the veteran Bangladesh leader was suffering from several physical problems.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Yunus had said that 3 days of political mourning has been announced regarding the death of former PM Begum Khaleda Ziana. His funeral procession will be held on Wednesday, so this day will be a general holiday in the entire country. Right now the whole country is sad.
