Former Bangladeshi skipper reveals a massive sledge history of Virat Kohli and Mushfiqur Rahim, Check the story inside

During day 2 of the India vs. Bangladesh first test match was held in Chennai, commentaries discussed Virat Kohli and Mushfiqur Rahim’s sledging history. As former Bangladesh cricketer Tamim Iqbal commentatorialized the first innings, he expressed hope for some entertainment based on Virat’s ‘history’ with Mushfiqur. It was indeed concerning that Rahim had once implied on field sledging by Virat in a commentary session. Ravi Shastri, the former Indian coach, sat alongside Tamim in the commentary box and seized the chance to make a sarcastic remark.

“Right now, Virat holds a position in slips while Mushfiqur Rahim is batting… keep an eye out for these two,” said Tamim.

Shastri questioned in response to Iqbal’s comments, “What history?”

“ You know it Ravi, you know the history which I am referring to,” replied the ex-Bangladesh skipper.

Earlier, Mushfiqur stated that Kohli has a tendency of saying some things whenever he goes out to bat against India.

“Whenever I play against him, he always tries to sledge me every time I go in to bat because he is a really competitive guy and he doesn’t want to lose any cricket match. I really love that rivalry with him and the challenge that comes with facing him and India,” Rahim explained.

India take the command of their first Test against Bangladesh as they continue to lead by 308 after fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah bundled out the tourists with only 149 runs on Friday.

The hosts were at 81-3 at stumps during day two of their second innings in Chennai. At close of play Shubman Gill was on 33 while wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant remained not out on 12.

Skipper Rohit Sharma became yet another to fall victim to Taskin Ahmed who bowled him for a mere five runs while Nahid Rana dismissed left-handed opener Yashasvi Jaiswal caught behind for 10.

Virat Kohli was out hit wicket bowled by spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Ultra edge technology showed a spike on the bat’s inside edge, which even Kohli did not perceive.

In the final session, Bangladesh were let go with Shakib Al Hasan, the ex-captain, being their top-scorer at 32 runs responses for India first Innings 376 total.

Instead of enforcing a follow-on, the hosts opted to increase the margin from two hundred and twenty-seven.
