On the auspicious occasion of Shri Ram Navami, the birth anniversary of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram, the entire district looked Rammay. There was such a surge of devotion in Obra city that slogans of Jai Shri Ram were heard everywhere. On this auspicious occasion, former Chairman of OBRA, Mrs. Nisha Bablu Singh, worshiped Lord Shri Ram and Mata Janaki with proper rituals at her residence and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the area. When the grand procession organized in the city on the occasion of Ram Navami reached the residence of the former chairman, the atmosphere reverberated with the shower of flowers and blowing of conch shells.
Nisha Bablu Singh performed the aarti of Lord Shri Ram with full devotion. Drenched in devotion, the former chairman praised the supernatural form of God through the famous couplets of Ramcharitmanas, Thakur bhaye pragat kripala, deendayala, kausalya benefactor. He not only worshiped the forms of Shri Ram-Janaki, but also encouraged thousands of devotees participating in the procession by offering refreshments and greeting them.
The huge crowd gathered at his residence turned the celebration into a festival. On this glorious occasion, Nisha Bablu Singh heartily congratulated all the people of the area on Ram Navami. In his address, he said that the life of Lord Ram inspires us to remain firm on the path of patience, sacrifice and religion. Expressing unwavering faith, he said that only Ram will overcome and by the grace of God, peace, harmony and prosperity will prevail in our area.
During this program, a large number of local dignitaries, social workers and devotees were present, who participated in this religious festival with full devotion and enthusiasm.
