Former Congress MP has urged to change the names of metro stations located near four major Gurudwaras of Delhi. Regarding this, former MP Tarlochan Singh has written a letter to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. In the letter, he has requested Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to change the names of the metro stations located near four major Gurudwaras after those religious places. He appreciated the efforts taken by the Delhi Government to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Tegh Bahadur and highlight the unparalleled sacrifice of the two younger Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh.

The former MP said that till now no metro station in Delhi has been named after Sikh historical Gurudwaras. He said that this is an important fact, especially at a time when the Delhi government is about to take a decision on the naming of metro stations. The move holds historical and cultural significance for the Sikh community.
