Former MP and actor Govinda gave his reaction on BMC elections, gave his vision on development and growth.
Mumbai Reacting to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation election results, actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda shared his vision for the overall development and growth of Mumbai. He stressed the need for good governance and steady progress. Govinda said that the development of the city should be the first priority. I was confident that this government would win and I wanted Mumbai to move towards progress. The way other cities are developing simultaneously. Mumbai should also move in the same direction. This is a new vision, where the world will recognize the state for its growth and works. In the same way the world has recognized our cinema, art and culture.

Actor and former MP Govinda had campaigned vigorously for the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena in the BMC elections and sought support from the people. Govinda drove around in an open jeep in Mumbai’s Kamathipura as part of the campaign. A large crowd gathered on the streets to see him, take pictures and cheer the actor. Govinda told why people from the film industry should take interest in politics and public life. He also talked about how he feels the environment has changed in recent years, making people in creative fields feel more secure. Unless there is a good environment, good art cannot flourish. After so many years, we are now seeing a positive environment. Otherwise, with a famous name, respect, fame, wealth, we have seen all kinds of problems associated with these.
