Former Pakistani wicketkeeper drops a massive criticism on PCB for ruining Pakistan Cricket, Check inside what the wicketkeeper said

Former Pakistan cricket player Kamran Akmal, who used to be a wicket-keeper and batter, asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to look at how the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) works. This comes after Pakistan’s cricket team had a bad time in the T20 World Cup 2024 and then lost a Test series 2-0 to Bangladesh. Akmal said there’s a big difference between how PCB and BCCI handle things. He praised the BCCI for being very professional and criticized the PCB for putting their pride first, which he thinks is one reason Pakistan’s cricket has been struggling lately.

Akmal said, “The PCB should learn from the BCCI, how they are professional, how they choose their team, selectors, captain, and coaches. These are the things that make a team the best and able to lead the world. If we were really good, Pakistan cricket wouldn’t be in this situation. It’s because of your pride that Pakistan cricket is suffering.”

Akmal also commended Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja after the spin pair helped India achieve a straightforward win against Bangladesh in the first Test match in Chennai.

“Ashwin had a fantastic all-around performance. He took six wickets in the second innings and even scored a hundred. He won the game and got his team out of a tough situation. Jaddu also played a crucial role in the victory. Without these two players, India would struggle to put together a strong Test team when playing at home. They have a great reputation and are key players,” the ex-Pakistan cricket team star commented.

Jadeja finished the game with a total of 5 wickets for 77 runs across both innings. On the other side, Ashwin, who didn’t get any wickets in the first inning, came back strong with six wickets in the second.

Besides Jadeja and Ashwin’s great performances, Shubman Gill finally showed the form he had been waiting for.

After not doing well in the first inning, he found his rhythm in the second and made the most of it with an unbeaten 119.

“Shubman Gill showed his skills. He’s a great player. It’s important for Gill to score runs because he’s playing in place of more experienced players. He has talent, which is why he’s playing,” Kamran added.
