Former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh passes away: Former PM Manmohan Singh passed away at around 9:51 pm. He was admitted to the emergency ward of AIIMS after having trouble breathing. Doctors have declared 92-year-old former PM Manmohan Singh dead during treatment. After the demise of the former PM, a wave of mourning ran in the country. Congress has postponed the two-day session going on in Belagavi, Karnataka. Kharge, Rahul and all the Congress party leaders present in Karnataka are now returning to Delhi.

According to the information, Manmohan Singh had undergone bypass surgery for the second time in the year 2006, after which he was very ill. On Thursday, he was admitted to AIIMS due to difficulty in breathing and restlessness. He was born on 26 September 1932 in Gah, Western Punjab (now Pakistan).
