Manmohan Singh Funeral: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh merged into Panchatattva today. His last rites were performed with full state honors at Nigam Bodh Ghat in Delhi. During this, many leaders including President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi attended the funeral. Everyone paid tribute to the former Prime Minister. During this, along with Manmohan Singh's family, Rahul Gandhi also shouldered the bier.

Before the last rites at Nigam Bodh Ghat, leaders and dignitaries took last darshan of the mortal remains of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. After this the body was taken for cremation. It is being told that Manmohan Singh's elder daughter lit his funeral pyre. Earlier, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi paid her last tribute to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at Nigam Bodh Ghat. Along with the family members, the leaders bid farewell by placing their respective pieces of wood on the pyre. During this time, the tricolor in which Manmohan Singh's mortal remains was wrapped was handed over to his family. This is an important part of the state honour.
