Will Fortuner become more expensive in 2026? Luxury features will be available in the new generation, know what will be special
Toyota Fortuner 2026 Features: Dominating Indian roads Toyota Fortuner Once again it is in discussion. This SUV, which has been recognized for its strength, off-road capability and status symbol, is now preparing to enter its third generation. Recently surfaced spy pictures show the new Fortuner covered during testing, which clearly indicates that the 2026 model will come in a more modern and aggressive style than before.
According to reports, the platform of the new Fortuner will be inspired by the Toyota Hilux that was recently launched in Thailand. Its entry in India is likely to take place in the second half of 2026, i.e. between April and November. However, an official announcement from the company is yet to be made.
Design: Bolder, more rugged
It is being speculated from the spy images that the look of the new Fortuner will be more muscular than before. A large mesh-style grille, slim LED headlights and sharp DRLs can be found at the front. In the side profile, new alloy wheels, roof rails and strong bumper will give strong appeal to the SUV. New LED tail lamps, updated boot design and dual exhaust tips can be seen at the rear. The design language is said to be largely inspired by the Toyota Prado.
Interior: Now you will get a touch of premium and technology
The cabin can be completely upgraded in the new generation. Soft-touch materials, new dashboard layout and a larger 12 to 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system can be found. Features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster and multi-zone climate control will give it a more luxurious feel. The 7-seater layout will remain intact. Features like ventilated front seats and panoramic sunroof may also be included, which have become a big demand for today’s buyers.
Features and Safety: SUV can be equipped with ADAS
The new Fortuner is likely to get ADAS Level 2+ technology. Features like 360-degree camera, wireless charging, connected car technology (Toyota i-Connect) and premium audio system will make it more special. The 4×4 system, differential lock and multi-terrain modes for off-roading will be retained. In safety, features like 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, VSC, hill assist and ISOFIX can be standard.

Engine and Performance: Entry of Hybrid Technology?
The existing 2.8 liter diesel engine (201 bhp, 500 Nm) can be updated with a 48V mild hybrid system. This will provide the benefit of better mileage and smooth driving. A 2.0 liter turbo petrol or hybrid option may also be available in some international markets. After launch in India, it may compete directly with premium SUVs like MG Majestor.
