Foundation of ‘New Babri Masjid’ laid in Murshidabad! Humayun Kabir’s statement increased political stir
After laying the foundation of a mosque in the name of ‘Babri Masjid’ in Murshidabad, West Bengal on Saturday, expelled Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir said that he had announced this a year ago.
Humayun Kabir said, “I had announced a year ago that I would lay the foundation of a new Babri Masjid…So today, on December 6, at 1.10 pm, lakhs of people gathered. I expected two lakh people to come…Three to four lakh people were present.”
“I thank all those who listened to me and believed in me and also all those who attended the rally.”
SP leader’s reaction: Don’t do politics!
On this, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Abu Asim Azmi said, “If someone builds a mosque with his own money, there is no need to tease anyone. The law of this country says that you can build a mosque by taking permission. There should be no talk of creating a rift between Hindus and Muslims by making it a political issue.”
