French President Macron praised India at India AI Impact Summit 2026, appealed for social media ban for children below 15 years of age.

Tezzbuzz Desk- Many leaders and veterans of the tech industry from around the world participated in the India AI Impact Summit 2026 organized at Bharat Mandapam in the country’s capital New Delhi. On this occasion, Emmanuel Macron praised India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech.

The President of France began his speech “hello” And said, “Prime Minister, thank you for welcoming you to this wonderful city and country. It is great to join this Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit organized by you.”

Macron said that digital transformation has taken place very rapidly in India in the last ten years. For example, ten years ago a street vendor in Mumbai did not have a bank account, but now the same vendor can instantly accept payments from any company on his phone.

He said that India produces millions of AI engineers every year. With 500,000 engineers, India has the second largest developer community in the world.

During the summit, the President of France appealed to Prime Minister Modi to implement a ban on social media for children below 15 years of age. He said that France has already taken this step and expressed hope that India will also take steps in this direction.
