Mumbai: Republic Day is being celebrated across the country today. All the stars of the film industry congratulated the fans on Republic Day through social media. Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar's names are also included in the list of artists congratulating the stars.
Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Sunil Shetty, Dharmendra, Hema Malini and other stars of the film industry took to social media to wish fans on Republic Day.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared a video on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Happy Republic Day to all Indians around the world. Jai Hind! Happy Republic Day.” In the video, the actor was seen wearing white kurta-pajama. The actor also added the song 'Bharat ka rahe wala hoon, Bharat ki baat sunata hoon' from Manoj Kumar's film 'Purab Aur Paschim' (1970) in the video. Singer Mahendra Kumar gave his voice to the song.
Veteran actress and Mathura MP Hema Malini wrote on Instagram, “We celebrate Republic Day on 26th January. It is a very important day in the history of our country, when we freed ourselves from the laws of colonial rule and got our Constitution. We also remember the sacrifices made by these freedom fighters for a sovereign republic. My best wishes to all of you.”
