From casual encounters to marriage…how did Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi’s love blossom? After 34 years of marriage, they revealed many secrets.

Mumbai:  Renowned Bollywood actress Archana Puran Singh and actor Parmeet Sethi are considered one of the strongest and most stable relationships in the industry today. Together for over three decades, the couple’s love story is as beautiful as it is unique. In a recent video shared on Archana’s YouTube channel, the two made interesting revelations about the beginning of their relationship, which both surprised and amused fans.

The story began at a friend’s house.

Archana and Parmeet first met at a friend’s house in the late 1980s. That same night, they went to a club with a group of friends. No one took their meeting seriously at the time, but fate had other plans. Archana says she was waiting for Parmeet’s call the next day, and as soon as he called, they began a conversation.

Gradually, their conversations increased, and contact became regular. Archana admitted that the relationship wasn’t serious at first. In her words, “It was just a casual relationship, with no expectations.”

When a ‘casual’ relationship started to deepen

Both had come out of previous relationships at the time and were in no mood for any new commitments. Archana said they often reminded each other that this relationship wasn’t serious and wouldn’t go far. Parmeet laughs and adds that they used to remind themselves of this almost daily.

Archana believes that people often say such relationships don’t last long, but theirs proves this wrong. What started as a small relationship gradually blossomed into trust, friendship, and love.

She was way above my level.

Parmeet Sethi shared his heartfelt feelings during this conversation. He explained that Archana had become quite popular at the time after the film “Jalwa” (1987). He himself came from a middle-class family. Parmeet felt that a successful and famous actress like Archana would never be in a relationship with him. He said, “You were very famous at that time. I really didn’t think you would ever say yes to someone like me.”

Roses, love and a little fun

Archana smiled and recalled the days when Parmeet would bring her three red roses, each one showing her three, and then say, “I love you.” Laughing, Parmeet admitted that he would sometimes borrow money from Archana to buy the roses.

Archana jokingly revealed that when this habit became regular, she asked Parmeet to stop bringing her roses. Parmeet jokingly asked if this meant their love would end.

Marriage and a happy family

Eventually, this “non-serious” relationship blossomed into marriage in 1992. Today, Archana and Parmeet are parents to two sons, Aryaman Sethi and Ayushmann Sethi. Their story proves that sometimes even a relationship that starts without much planning can become a lifelong companionship, all it takes is honesty, understanding, and a little humor.
