Renault India launched its new generation Renault Duster on January 26 at a grand event. The company did not announce prices at the time. Now the company has announced that the full launch of the model will be announced on January 17th officially announcing the prices of the car.

In the midsize SUV segment, the car will compete with models like Maruti Brezza, Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Venue, Kia Seltos and Kia Sonet. It is expected that its starting ex-showroom price may be less than Rs 10 lakh. According to some reports, the price may be between Rs 9.50 lakh and Rs 19 lakh. Notably, the company discontinued the old Duster in 2022.

New Duster has arrived at the dealership

The 2026 Duster has started arriving at dealerships now. So customers will get a chance to see the car before buying. They can also get detailed information about features, safety and engine. However, the SUV will be available at each outlet for a limited time only, so the company has advised customers to contact the dealer directly for the schedule.

The pre-booking of the new Duster has started from 26 January 2026. Initial customers will be given initial pricing and delivery priority. Deliveries of the non-hybrid variant will begin from March 2026, while the hybrid version is likely to be launched during the festive season.

New vs Old Duster: Features

The new Duster gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a panoramic sunroof. Apart from this, modern amenities like multi-color ambient lighting, wireless phone charger, 6-way power-adjustable and ventilated front seats and powered tailgate are available.

The old Duster had features like a 7-inch touchscreen (with wired connectivity), auto climate control, cruise control and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

In terms of customer safety, the new model gets 6 airbags, rain-sensing wipers, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), 360-degree camera and some Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features. The old facelift model had limited safety equipment like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera and rear parking sensors.

New vs Old Duster: Price

The old Duster was priced between Rs 9.86 lakh and Rs 14.25 lakh ex-showroom before its discontinuation. While the prices of the new model will be officially announced in March, the starting price is likely to start around Rs 10 lakh.

The new Duster will once again compete directly with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Apart from this, it can compete with SUV models like Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara and the upcoming Nissan X-Trail.
