From LPG to UPI! Many big rules will change from June 1, 2026, know what will be the direct impact on the common man’s pocket.

The month of May is about to end and with the beginning of the new month from June 1, 2026, many very important rules related to the pocket, kitchen and banking of the common man are going to change. From National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to Income Tax Department, Indian Railways and big oil companies of the country have released the complete list of new rules.

These new rules are going to have a direct and major impact on your monthly budget, everyday money transactions and your travel plans. This time, there are going to be major changes in many important sectors, from UPI payment system to LPG cylinder prices, PAN card rules, ATM charges, railway services, solar panel subsidy and fixed deposit (FD) interest rates. In such a situation, it is very important for you to know about these updates in advance, so that you can avoid any kind of problem and can do your financial planning properly.

Big change in UPI payment, now real name will be visible as soon as you send money

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is going to implement a big change to make digital payments more secure and transparent. According to the new rule, now whenever you transfer money to any mobile number, QR code or UPI ID, the real name of the person registered in the bank account will be visible on the screen. Its main objective is to completely prevent incidents of online fraud and accidental transfer of money to another account. Till now many times people used to become victims of fraud due to fake names or strange business names, but after June 1, users will be able to easily identify the right person.

Fear of change in prices of LPG cylinder and CNG-PNG

Like the first of every month, this time too oil companies will review the prices of LPG gas cylinders and CNG-PNG. But this time, due to rising prices of crude oil in the international market and geopolitical tension related to Iran, there is a possibility of major change in the prices of gas. It is believed that the prices of domestic LPG cylinders may increase due to impact on the global supply chain. If this increase in prices happens, it will have a direct impact on the monthly kitchen budget of common families.

Both relief and strictness in rules related to PAN card

Keeping in mind the convenience and safety of the general public, the Income Tax Department has made some major changes in the rules related to PAN card. Under the new system, it will no longer be necessary to show PAN card to deposit cash up to Rs 50,000 in banks or post offices. This will provide great relief to common people and businessmen doing small transactions. However, on the other hand, the rules have been made more stringent for high-value transactions. Now it will be completely mandatory to provide PAN card in any property deal, gift deed or any major financial transaction worth more than Rs 20 lakh.

Withdrawal of cash from ATM and banking services can be expensive

From the month of June, many big banks of the country are going to change the structure of their ATM transaction charges. If a customer exceeds the monthly free transaction limit set by his bank, he may now have to pay higher charges than before. It is worth noting that not only cash withdrawal, but also non-financial transactions like checking balance, withdrawing mini statement and other ATM services can be expensive. Therefore, all bank customers have been advised to check the notification issued on the website or mobile app of their respective bank once.

Indian Railways canceled 77 trains, also diverted many routes

If you are thinking of traveling somewhere by train in the month of June, then this news is very important for you. Indian Railways has made major changes in the operation of many trains due to track upgradation and maintenance work. According to the official statement of the Railways, about 77 trains have been completely cancelled, while the routes of many important trains have been changed. The biggest impact of these changes can be seen on trains passing through states like West Bengal, Maharashtra and Gujarat. Therefore, before leaving for the journey, definitely check the live status and route of your train.

New rules implemented for solar panel installers

Now a new rule is being implemented under the government’s ambitious ‘Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme’. Under this, now only solar panels of authorized companies included in the list of ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers) can be used. This means that if you want subsidy from the government, you will have to install only government approved panels. Due to stricter rules, a slight increase in the prices of solar panels may be seen in the market, although the government says that this will ensure the quality and safety of the panels.

Big change in FD interest rates, many old attractive schemes will be closed

After the recent monetary policy review of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), many commercial banks have announced to re-structure their fixed deposit (FD) rates. Special short-term attractive FD schemes of many banks (like 399 days or 444 days special schemes) are expiring on 31 May 2026. Banks will implement new interest rates from June 1, in which there is also a possibility of reduction in the interest rates of special schemes for some senior citizens.

After all, what will be its full impact on the common people?

All these changes, which will be implemented from June 1, will directly affect the pockets of common people and their daily routine. If LPG becomes expensive, the household budget will deteriorate, banking expenses may increase due to increase in ATM charges, while with the new security system of UPI, your digital payments will become more secure than before. At the same time, changes in railways can affect your travel plans. In such a situation, it is wise that you be aware of these new rules in advance and do your financial planning accordingly so that there is no shock in the beginning of the month.
