From Struggle to Success: The Inspirational Entrepreneurship Story of Raju Dachhe and Nikhil Bendakhle

In today’s competitive era, every youth dreams of doing something big in his life. But to turn these dreams into reality, courage, hard work, patience and right decisions were required. Economic challenges, society’s attitudes and fear of failure often prevented people from moving forward. Still, some people were successful in overcoming all these obstacles and creating their own identity. One such inspiring story was that of Raju Dakhle and Nikhil Bendakhle.

Raju Dakhle and Nikhil Bendakhle, coming from middle-class families of Mumbai, did B.Sc. from different places. Completed his studies in Hospitality and Tourism. After studies, both of them worked in a private company for some time. He was getting regular income from his job, but the thought always kept coming in his mind that he should do something of his own in life.

After working for a few years he decided it was time to start his own business.

Before starting the business he had studied the waffles business in depth. Through the internet, he had collected information about the price of machines, raw materials, market demand and possible profits.

He had learned that around Rs 7 to 8 lakh would be required to start. With the help of his family and friends, he raised this amount and started his business with waffle machines, pancake machines, raw materials and branding.

His shop was inaugurated in Vikhroli on 19 January 2025. He named his brand “FLAPJACK”.

The first few months were quite challenging. Only 20 to 25 waffles were sold daily. Many times it seemed that perhaps this business would not be successful.

Some people also said,
“This business will not work here, people like vada-pav only.”

But ignoring these things, he continued his hard work.

Understanding the situation, he made many important changes in his work –
The quality of products was improved,
Promotion was started on social media,
Attractive offers started,
New products such as bowl cakes and crumbles were added,
Special attention was paid to the cleanliness and presentation of the shop.

The results of these efforts soon became visible. The number of customers started increasing and orders for college functions and parties started coming in.

When the business began to stabilize, he also hired an employee. Within a few months there was a good increase in their sales.

After this, on 27 July 2025, he started his second branch in Virar.

His efforts also led to the rise in popularity of new food items such as waffles in the area.

Today R & N Enterprises (FLAPJACK) had become a successful business. His further aim was to expand his brand, start a franchise model and provide employment opportunities to more people.

In recognition of his entrepreneurship and hard-hitting success, he was selected for the prestigious “Maharashtra Business Icon” award. This honor was decided to be conferred by Reseal.in and India Fashion Icon Magazine.

Famous actress Prarthana Behere was going to be present as the special guest at the grand event, while the event was being led by Sudhir Kumar Pathade.

The story of Raju Dakhle and Nikhil Bendakhle proved that if a person has determination, hard work and right thinking, he can turn any small idea into a big business.

His journey became an inspiration for today’s youth, giving the message that it is not only necessary to dream but also take bold steps to fulfill them.
